Muzazi Mizungu!

Another adventure today...and it was a great one. We were able to return to Gaseke, the village where we helped build an orphans house last year. Serafina, a widow helped us build that house. She had lead us to her two bedroom hut that shocked us....no windows, very small, hot, and so dirty. Our hearts broke for her and her family and the orphans she takes care of. Melody sent out a email that night telling of Serafina's story....she was instantly sponsored that night! So today, we returned to that village to help her build her house. To be able to venture into this village again was extremely exciting....we couldn't wait to see how much Serafina and her family had gained from being sponsored! Wow! The new house already looked amazing and her face showed the appreciation she felt for all the help she is receiving. Jake and I reflect on today and just feel so thrilled to be able to recognize and be recognized by the locals! It is a blessing to witness the impact we've been able to make on their lives! As you can see from the pictures- Jake was a lot of help. Actually he had some issues with his stomach...but don't worry he's feeling better.
